2008 NE Facilities Guided Tours for Summer Students
Target Audience: Summer Students at NE or other Argonne Divisions.
The Nuclear Engineering Division Student Outreach Committee is offering guided tours of some of the NE Division facilities for summer students. Each tour will last about 45 minutes to one hour. These tours offer the opportunity to see and hear about some unique experimental facilities which are part of the NE Division’s research in the nuclear energy field. You may sign up for as many of the tours as you wish.
How to sign up for a tour
To sign up for a tour, please send an e-mail to Laural Briggs ( ) by 5:00 PM of the day preceding the tour.

Nuclear Energy Exhibit in Bldg. 208 (Tour A) This exhibit presents the major milestones in the development of nuclear power in the U.S. and explains Argonne’s role in the design of nuclear reactors, beginning with the Manhattan project, to present-day commercial reactors, to advanced reactor designs currently under development. The exhibit includes reactor models and examples of components used in nuclear reactors. |
